The 29 Palms Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 19th annual Car Show & Street Fair, taking place on the highway in downtown Twentynine Palms this Saturday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Founded in 2000, this Car Show features unique cars, trucks and motorcycles of all years, makes, and models, and includes a Soap Box Derby hosted by the Armed Services YMCA! The world famous Joshua Tree Music Festival takes place twice a year 14 miles west of Twentynine Palms at Joshua Tree Lake & Campgrounds, north of Highway 62 on Sunfair Road (about a 20-minute drive) in the village of Joshua Tree. The Parade of Homes occurs annually in mid-February, near Valentine's Day. This fundraising event benefits ReachOut Morongo Basin, the neighbors-helping-neighbors program that started in Twentynine Palms and expanded throughout the Morongo Basin. The Parade offers a tour of exceptional desert homes in Twentynine Palms, Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley, and Pioneertown.
